Well, I finally have something to report. I managed to finally get some time with an old friend who was in town visiting and we went out chasing bears for a couple evenings.
In the end, we managed to get a medium size chocolate phase black bear. Nothing spectacular, but good eating none-the-less. This black bear marks my fourth bear with a bow. So far I’m at 1 brown bear and 3 black bears. I hope to in the next few seasons add another brown bear to that list, but its gonna be hard to top of the 26 6/16ths inch boar I got back in 2014.
Anyways, here is a photo of the recent black bear we got. As you can see, its not a hog, but he will eat good!
In between our personal hunts I have been busy with work. This time of year means lots of bear hunters to check. I can’t say I mind too much. I get to go out and see some very beautiful and remote areas. The only downside right now is that I don’t have my own boat. Hopefully soon that will change. I have my sites set on a new boat for next season. I’d love to go bigger, but right now I’m leaning towards a Hewescraft 22′ Ocean Pro. Its hard to beat for what you can do with them, and they are affordable to run.
Well, its late, and I gotta say, I’m not very motivated to write a ton right now. The big idea behind this blog anyways was to tell a story through pictures. So without much farther, our most recent adventures! And as always, please follow us and leave a comment to tell me what you think about the site. Your input matters, and if you think there is something I could do better, please let me know!
